The Impulse of the Heart

The impulse of the heart is to be always in contemplation, to realize samadhi, to live in satsang.

You have to progressively unhitch your life from other tendencies, from egoic tendency, and live the sacred life. Fulfill that motivation more and more completely, more and more fully, more and more profoundly.

This is how you grow in spiritual terms. Whereas if you remain eccentric, self-possessed, arbitrary, habit-made, made-by-tendency, and so forth, what you realize is conventional destiny, plastic destiny, egoic destiny, more confusion, more involvement with the God-concealing imagery of psychophysical existence. All this is God, and yet you can't find out what it means.

It's put out in front of you, a hair, a nose. You can't fathom it, you can't understand it, you can't find it to be God. You're contracted, self-possessed, the coded infinity of mind.

Grace and Devotion

Maya betrays you, so you cannot see what is before your eyes, before your heart. What is your heart, you see? So you have to make use of every advantage of grace, and grace is in fact the goal of existence, the purpose of your existence, the home, the seat, the place of your devotion, your purpose of life. So the devotee develops a longing more and more, profoundly developed to be in that situation, in that satsang, in that contemplation.

This is how the egoic design gets purified, you see. This is what devotion is. Devotion is to be drawn to that primal attractiveness, so that all other persuasions, tendencies, forms of egoity are not distracting and can therefore be purified, fallen away.

Practice Is With Me

So practice is not what you do alone when you're home, practice is what you do with me. Wherever you may be, you must find the space of my company. This is the secret.

Even so, you find it by locating that attractiveness itself, being attracted by it, being moved by it. So this is a concentrated life, a life of contemplation, a life of being attracted, a life of gravitating toward the sacred domain. Live in this satsang everywhere, no matter what arises, fine, but the movement of the heart is always to be right here, to be right where the Satguru is.

So the devotee finds every opportunity to do just that, and if he or she finds it possible to live in this satsang, wherever they may happen to be at the moment, it's only because of that attractiveness, that gravitation, that profound impulse to be exactly where the Satguru is.

A motion of heart so profound that you're able to locate me, and it seems as if you've located me where you are, but you have located me where I am, as I am. You have realized my space, the sacred space, the divine space of this transmission, this radiant space, the loka that is the bright.

The Loka of the Bright

I am in that loka. Satsang is to live with me there. It is the divine self-domain, the sphere of translation.

I am seated there, not here, but where is here? You find me here. It is as if I am here. It is as if this is the divine domain.

It seems so to you in the moment, in this moment of satsang, because you have entered into my sphere. You have found me. You have located me.

You've become attracted. You've entered into contemplation. In reality, you have entered in through the loka, where I am.

You are established there, and it becomes a vision that pervades this space and makes it seamless. This is that, and it is. And it is absolutely not.

Translation and Ultimate Samadhi

So by participating in this great revelation, this loka, you ultimately will outshine this psychophysical space. That's translation, perfect samadhi, ultimate divine samadhi. It is the samadhi of my brightness, the samadhi of my domain, to be so submitted in contemplation of me, my domain, my space of being, that that brightness outshines appearances.

Simply by that attraction, by that devotion, you enter into that sphere, my sphere of brightness, and it outshines conditional existence. This is the ultimate secret. This is ultimately how it takes place.

This is how great realization awakens, by just that process, not by some handful of do-it-yourself activities, not through some do-it-yourself spirituality kit, you see. No amount of secret yogas and all the rest of it does it. Just what I just described to you is how it actually takes place, through that graceful revelation.

The Unique Offering

It is the unique but also ancient offering. It is a unique process. It is the ultimate process.

Satsang is the process. Find this out. When it becomes your confession, you will have realized the secret of it, you see.

And then that becomes the practice, and everything else is simple enough.
